Black Dog Farms was born during an exploration of the dahlia world after moving into a new house and discovering a dahlia plant in the flower bed. We quickly fell in love with all of the unique varieties and added more and more to our collection each year. With our growing garden, came the desire to share all of these blooms with our community. We began to supply blooms to local florists and events over the last couple of years.

We now run two farm sites and cultivate over 50 varieties of dahlias and close to 2,000 plants!

Our main goal is to grow and provide quality, lasting blooms for weddings, events, or personal enjoyment. Feel free to reach out for advice on farm site prep, fertilizing, watering schedules, growing, or bloom care. We’d love to share the world of dahlias with you!

The Black Dog name stemmed from our first love…running field trials and hunt tests and hunting waterfowl with our two black labs. They are the name and the face of the farm and supervise all farm activities.
